What it is
Dried comfrey leaf, loose by weight — a traditional skin-care herb, sold here for external preparations only.
The sensory experience
Green and a little grassy, closer to spinach than to anything floral. It’s not made to smell good in a jar — it’s made to go into an infused oil, where the leaf does its actual work.
Materials
- Comfrey leaf (Symphytum officinale)
How it may be used
- Infused into oil for salves and balms
- Added to a compress or poultice for external use
- Not intended for tea or any internal use
Safety & use notes
- External use only. Comfrey contains pyrrolizidine alkaloids linked to liver toxicity when taken internally — the FDA has advised against oral comfrey products, and this is sold strictly for topical preparations, not for brewing.
- Do not use on broken or deeply wounded skin without medical guidance.
- Not intended to replace medical care. Consult a doctor before use if pregnant, nursing, or have any liver condition.
